1. Who we are
FreeOpenAPI.dev is a hosted API that aggregates free, open data sources behind a single API key. Contact: freeopenapi@mailnest.nl.
2. What we collect
Email address: required to request a free API key. We use it to send a one-time confirmation link, and to contact you about your key (e.g. usage or upgrades). We do not send marketing email and do not sell or share it with third parties.
IP address: used at request time to enforce rate limits and to prevent abuse of the free-key signup flow. It is kept only in short-lived, in-memory counters and standard server logs, not in a permanent profile tied to your email.
API request data: the query parameters you send (e.g. coordinates, currency codes) are forwarded to the relevant upstream provider to fetch the response; we do not build a history or profile of your queries.
3. Payments
Paid plans (Pro, Business) are billed by Paddle.com, our merchant of record. Paddle collects and processes your payment details directly; we never see or store your card details. See Paddle's privacy policy.

5. Google Fonts
We use Google Fonts to load typefaces, which connects to Google's servers and may process your IP address. See Google's privacy policy.
6. Your rights
You can ask us to delete your email address and associated API key at any time by writing to freeopenapi@mailnest.nl from the address in question. Depending on your location, you may have further rights under GDPR, CCPA or similar laws; contact us to exercise them.
